Today depart from Australia for Amman.
- Day 2 – Wednesday 5th
Upon arrival transfer to your accommodation. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Overnight in Amman (B,D)
- Day 3 – Thursday 6th
This morning, visit the Citadel. Later in the morning, transfer to Mt Nebo where Moses was shown the Promised Land. Continue on to Wadi Musa (Petra). The rest of the day is at leisure.
Overnight accommodation in Petra (B,D)
- Day 4 – Friday 7th
This morning, enjoy a half-day guided tour of Petra, the ancient Nabataean city. Walk through the “sik” down to the Treasury. The afternoon is free to explore the site further. You might want to climb the 700 steps to the Monastery.
Second night’s accommodation in Petra (B,D)
- Day 5 – Saturday 8th
After an early breakfast, travel to Wadi Rum. Enjoy a 2 hour jeep safari in the desert. Continue on to Aqaba where you have a free afternoon.
Overnight accommodation in Aqaba (B,D)
- Day 6 – Sunday 9th
Early morning, leave Aqaba and cross the Israeli border. Transfer to Ein Bokek and enjoy a float in the Dead Sea.

- Day 7 – Monday 10th
This morning, travel to Masada and visit the ancient fortress built by Herod and the last outpost of Jewish Resistance after the 66AD revolt. Afterwards, visit Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947. Continue on to Jerusalem. The rest of the day is at leisure.
First night’s accommodation in Jerusalem (B,D)
- Day 8 – Tuesday 11th
Enjoy a full-day guided tour of Old Jerusalem. The tour includes a visit to the Western Wall tunnels (which feature remains from the second temple period), and the Temple Mount where the first temple built by Solomon was located. In the afternoon, visit the Bible Lands Museum which features artefacts from Israel’s surrounding nations such as the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Philistines as well as a relief from the palace of Sennacherib, a model of Sennacherib’s palace and the city of Babylon. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Second night’s accommodation in Jerusalem (B,D)
- Day 9 – Wednesday 12th
Enjoy a full day excursion of Jerusalem's surroundings. Explore the Kidron Valley and Valley of Hinnom, Mount of Olives and the Garden of Gethsemane. In the afternoon, visit the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed a paralytic man who had been sick for 38 years (John 5:1-12). Finally, visit Hezekiah’s tunnel that was built to divert water into Jerusalem in preparation for the Assyrian siege.
Third night’s accommodation in Jerusalem (B,D)
- Day 10 – Thursday 13th
Today, visit the Israeli Museum. The visit includes the Shrine of the Book where you will be able to see the Dead Sea scrolls, and the scale model of Jerusalem as it was before the 70CE destruction by the Romans. Your tour also includes a visit to a permanent exhibition called Archaeology of the Land of Israel. You will have the chance to see royal inscriptions and seals bearing the names of different kings of Judah and of Israel including Ahaziyahu, Uzziah, and Hezekiah as well Jehoram, Jeroboam and Menahem. The rest of the day is at leisure. Explore the Old City, including the Cardo and enjoy free time in the Arab market.
Fourth night’s accommodation in Jerusalem (B,D)
- Day 11 – Friday 14th
This morning, visit the Valley of Elah. Travel to Qaesarea where you will enjoy a guided-tour of the archaeological park. Continue on to Megiddo, a site of decisive battles. After the visit, transfer to the Sea of Galilee and check in at your accommodation.
Overnight accommodation at the Sea of Galilee (B,D)
- Day 12 – Saturday 15th
Travel to Capernaum where you explore the archaeological park as a group. Enjoy a cruise on the Sea of Galilee followed by a visit of a 2000 year old fishing boat located on Kibbutz Ginosar. In the afternoon, cross the Jordanian border and meet your guide. Transfer to Amman.
Firsts night’s accommodation in Amman (B,D)
- Day 13 – Sunday 16th
This morning, visit one of the Decapolis: Jerash. Explore the theatre, Hadrian’s arch and the hippodrome. Return to Amman and enjoy a free afternoon in Jordan’s capital.
Second night’s accommodation in Amman (B,D)
- Day 14 – Monday 17th
Today, transfer to Queen Alia International airport for your flight back to Australia.
- Day 15 – Tuesday 18th
